In the past, my|assistant would need to pull the list of properties we market and determine if it was still active because 99% of the time we are not alerted to status changes. We have been maintaining hundreds of dead listings which has allowed some active listings to fall through the crack.

In order to combat this gap, my|assistant has implemented the following change:
For $9 my|assistant will post your listing to 10 real estate classified sites, including Craigslist for 30 days. If, at the end of the 30 days, you would like us to renew your ad,  simply let us know and we will renew it at no charge.  If you don’t let us know, we will no longer be researching the status.

Consider this post to be a spilling of the beans. I had an idea nearly a year ago that would provide a way for real estate agents to market their listings to students looking for housing. Being that I live so close to Notre Dame this was a local issue. A client asked me if I knew of a resource to market listings near campus. I said I did not and moved on. A few days later I was talking to my mom in the kitchen and told her the idea I had about starting a website catered to such real estate and I told her I was starting it. CampusHomesOnline.com was born! Through the help of a Twitter friend (well, most of his work is in this thus far) we are close to a beta launch.

CampusHomesOnline.com is a centralized and national listing service for real estate agents, property managers and homeowners to advertise homes for sale/rent, apartments for rent, and game day rentals to students and renters. Listings are a flat $29 for a 6-month ad – no hidden fees, no commissions like other listing services. Visitors features include:

• Ability to save searches and retrieve results later
• Sign up for email notifications of new listings that match their search criteria
• Ability to text a listing to a friend
• Save searches to a custom URL to share with friends and family
• Search by miles radius from campus (.5 mile, 1 mile, 1.5 miles, etc.)
• Listings are limited to 1.5 miles from a campus to keep content relevant

Advertiser features include:

• Copy a listing to carry over information to a new listing
• Spotlight advertiser packages
• Featured property packages
• Web 2.0 Widgets to place on your website or in blog posts
• HTML code for Craigslist

Jennifer has been in marketing and real estate for several years and has a mad passion for design and color.  Painting is her love, and in her free time is pursuing  a Fine Art degree.  Before coming to My Assistant, Jennifer worked alongside some of the best in the business where she honed her desire to help people become more efficient in multiple facets of business. Up to this point, I’ve printed flyers on 32lb glossy stock. Recently, however, I’ve noticed that the toner is not adhering to the paper as well and that the price per pack has gone up 50% in the last few months. I don’t want to pass on the extra cost to my clients whom I know are looking to save every penny they can, especially for quality I don’t feel is living up to my expectations.

To that end, I’ve made a change in paper stock for client marketing flyers. All flyers will now be printed on 32lb Premium Laser Paper. There is no glossy coating to this paper but I feel the coating provided the imperfections I mentioned. Costs will not increase but will remain the same.
